Newark School of Violin Making
In 1999 Chaim started violin making at the Newark School of Violin Making near Nottingham in the United Kingdom, where he passed his exams in 2002
The Newark school of Violin Making is next to the ones in Mittenwald-Gemany, Cremona-Italy, Mirecourt-France and Salt Lake City-United States one of the few violin making schools in the world.
In 2008 Chaim became a member of the Dutch group of violinmakers (NGV). For more then 50 years the NGV unites violinmakers and guarantees a high level of violinmaking.
Loerakker Vioolbouwers Haarlem
In 2002 Chaim started working for "Loerakker Vioolbouwers sinds 1936 B.V.". A well known violin shop in Haarlem, led by the skillful violin maker Vincent Loerakker. There, in tiny hidden workshop at the back of the otherwise luxurious shop, he acquired the skill, routine and secret knowledge of violin and bow restoration.
